Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and monitoring the inspection program of KTSB's facilities to ensure that the safety, integrity, and availability of the equipment are maintained in accordance with applicable industry practices and regulations.
- To Monitor the Planning and Execution of inspection activities by Inspection Engineer; to ensure high reliability and integrity of equipment by performing quality control non-destructive inspection, non-destructive testing & destructive testing.
- To maintain and monitor static equipment’s Certificate of Fitness to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- To provide an independent inspection and integrity services to plant management including assurance of the integrity of the static equipment, piping works and relieve valves.
- To analysis and advice on risk assessment for equipment remnant life and correct repair methodology to be used, with proper document history of equipment’s condition.
- Develop system and assure that a register and associated records of equipment requiring inspection are maintained.
- To identify and provide equipment’s inspection work list for the Annual Turnaround with proper reporting to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- To Establish good co-operation and co-ordination with Department of Occupational, Safety and Health (DOSH) in executing inspection exercise for registered for statutory equipment via proper planning, communication, and relationship.
- To maintain and run Petronas RBI software to manage risk assessment based on Standard API RBI and DOSH regulation.
- Implement and oversee the execution of identified sustaining CAPEX projects at KTSB,
ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, while aligning with KTSB’s business
objectives and adhering to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 – 7 years in experiences for Chemical Plant, Oil & Gas and Terminals. Proven experience in asset integrity management in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, corrosion management, and fitness-for-service assessment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Training required is added advantage:
- API 579 – Fitness-For-Services (FFS)
- API 510 - Pressure Vessel Inspector
- API 570 - Piping Inspector
- API 580 - Risk-Based Inspection
- API 571 - Corrosion and Materials Professional
- API 653 – Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration and Reconstruction
- NACE Corrosion Specialist
