Job summary

Monolithic Power Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks an Assembly Quality Engineer to strengthen QA and manufacturing support. You will verify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence across the assembly line.

You will audit performance, monitor yield and SPC, coordinate supplier qualifications, and work with FA engineers to address failures and drive continuous improvement in reliability and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Familiar with general assembly processes and QA controls (8D CAR, FMEA, SPC, etc).
• Knowledge of basic concepts of FA and reliability.
• Fluent English writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle assembly quality issue, verify root cause and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and timely to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct regular audits and quarterly performance ratings; discuss quality/technical issues with suppliers to support continuous improvement and reliable product.
• Weekly monitor and analyze assembly yield, defect modes, and SPC; daily check WIP to ensure short assembly cycle time and on-time delivery.
• Conduct risk assessment and disposition for wafer incoming issues at supplier and on-hold lots with assembly issue at test floor.
• Generate and evaluate supplier quality reports; establish baselines and determine continuous improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with FA engineers to identify assembly failures, address root causes and implement corrective actions with assemblers.
• Coordinate qualification of new suppliers, materials, package, and assembly processes.
