A leading company in the motorcycle industry is seeking an Assembly Engineer to oversee production processes and ensure quality compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 1-3 years of experience in assembly engineering. Responsibilities include monitoring production schedules, problem-solving, and contributing to process improvements while adhering to quality standards.

- Assembly monthly planning (based on sales orders) and closely monitoring production schedules & delivery completion daily.
- Responsible for daily production to achieve the target as per plan and meet QC quality requirements based on SOP.
- Contribute effort to formulate and implement production procedures and checklists, safe operating practices, proper waste management, and quality management systems.
- Analyze problems related to the assembly process (e.g., identifying weaknesses and initiating appropriate actions).
- Collect data and investigate non-conformances to initiate corrective actions to meet quality targets.
- Attend, troubleshoot, and rectify issues on the Assembly line.
- Guide Production team leaders to ensure smooth assembly processes and train staff in best practices and SOPs.
- Monitor and analyze production processes for improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Develop and ensure processes, tools, and techniques align with 'best practice' standards.
- Communicate risks and concerns promptly to enable recovery actions.
- Assist in managing administrative matters of the Assembly department.
- Organize paperwork, especially ISO documentation.
- Generate and maintain process documentation (work instructions, master samples).
- Maintain 5S standards and ensure safety compliance.
- Handle monthly WIP stock takes.
- Assess manpower requirements and capacity planning.
- Plan activities to reduce machine downtime, respond to breakdowns, and repair equipment.
- Purchase materials and spare parts for repairs and improvements after approval from HOD.
- Liaise with cross-sectional staff and perform other tasks as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience: 1-3 years in assembly engineering or manufacturing.
