Job summary

Brooks Automation in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, Malaysia is hiring an Assembler I to perform a wide range of electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assembly tasks on sub-assemblies and robotic systems. You will follow defined methods, install components, wiring, and perform setups while maintaining tight tolerances.

This role requires 2–7 years of mechanical or electrical experience, ability to read drawings and schematics, and willingness to work on rotating shifts (3 shifts).

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical knowledge with 2-7 years of relevant experience.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, pneumatic and electrical schematics.
• Experience with industrial robots is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations for wiring, component installation, and kit assembly on robotic systems.
• Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications.
• Contribute to developing techniques, processes, and practices that improve efficiency.
• May lead major project initiatives and act as group leader.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior staff.
• Work as part of a team to resolve complex problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru

Headcounts: More than 20 headcounts is required. (Assembler I & II).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in functions such as performing wiring, component installation, kit assembly, on robotic systems being assembled.
• Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications.
• Contribute to developing techniques, processes, and practices that advance the organization's effectiveness.
• May lead major project initiatives and act as group leader.
• Expected to mentor and transfer knowledge to more junior staff members.
• Work as part of a team to resolve the most complex problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Mechanical or Electrical knowledge with 2-7 years of relevant experience
• Strong electrical & mechanical skills
• Able to read measurement tools, perform I/O check and troubleshooting
• Assembly experience (electrical/mechanical)
• Ability to read mechanical part/assembly drawings, pneumatic schematics, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Semiconductor Equipment and/or cleanroom experience a plus
• Experience with industrial robots a plus
• Problem solving mind-set.
• The preferred industry: Semiconductor, Medical Devices & EMS Industry
• Willing to work at Pasir Gudang.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts (3shifts)
