Job summary

Boston Consulting Group in the AP regional office seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to support FP&A across the region. You will partner with local office teams to understand drivers of financial performance, assist in planning, forecasting, and management reporting, and deliver insightful analysis to guide leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/MBA with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5–8 years experience in Finance planning & analysis in professional services.
• Experience in BCG finance preferred; knowledge of BCG systems.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Business Objects proficiency.
• Experience with Tableau, Power Query, PowerAutomate; AI tools familiarity.
• Strong business sense with finance process knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and communication in a virtual/global team.
• Ability to plan and prioritise work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support AP FP&A Senior Manager in planning and analysis across the AP region.
• Coordinate and consolidate SBUs plans/forecasts; back up as SME for local teams.
• Provide decision-support: bi-weekly revenue analysis, monthly reporting, backlog and PA reporting.
• Deliver on reporting automation initiatives and dashboarding with BI&A.
• Prepare regional chair presentations for EC, OC, WWOM and Leadership meetings.
• Support cross-functional AP regional leadership with ad-hoc reporting.
• Back-up other AP Finance team members; rollout of new policies.
• Liaise with Global services and other regions; drive initiatives to improve reporting.

What You'll Do

The position is an integral part of the Asia-Pacific (AP) Regional Finance Team, which supports AP FP&A Senior Manager in multiple areas of finance analysis & reporting. The position is aimed at supporting AP regional stakeholders and working with local office teams with planning, forecasting & management reporting basis, insightful & accurate analysis to guide decision-making processes.

This role may also work on regional or global projects and provide support to other members of the (local and regional) finance teams, across AP.

This position is built around teamwork and meeting customer needs, which provides the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders in the AP region. The Senior Analyst teams up with the local finance teams, other regional and cross-functional teams & must be a team player capable of working flexibly, virtually and across different cultures.

Senior Finance Analyst - AP Regional Office

• Primary responsibility includes supporting AP FP&A Senior Manager in finance planning & analysis by tracking financial performance across the region working with local office teams to understand underlying business reasons impacting financial outcomes for AP region.
• Support the planning process, including co-ordination & consolidation of various SBU plans/forecast & also backing up as a subject matter expert for local finance teams, review and highlight key messages to regional leadership.
• Work directly with local office teams within AP region to provide decision support in various areas including bi-weekly revenue analysis, monthly reporting, backlog reporting, non-billable cost analysis, PA reporting & other ad-hoc reporting as needed to analyse business reasons.
• Deliver on the reporting automation initiatives among AP FP&A, and partner with BI&A product team on dashboarding & other relevant programs
• Support in preparation for regional chair presentations relating to EC, OC, WWOM & Leadership meetings as required.
• In addition, support broader cross functional AP regional leadership teams in ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.

AP Regional Finance support

• Being a back-up to the other AP Regional Finance team members as required
• Supporting the roll-out of new policies, processes, and initiatives by the Global Finance function
• Providing support to the local Finance teams as required
• Liaising with Global services, Global finance and other Regional Functions as required
• Driving other initiatives to improve our reporting and analytics.

What You'll Bring

• CA/CPA/MBA with a minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Work experience:
• Internal: Experience in BCG Finance preferred, with good working knowledge of BCG accounting, planning and systems
• External: of around 5-8 years working in Finance planning & analysis, revenue management & commercial areas preferred. Experience in professional service industry around financial modelling, analysis & reporting.
• Advanced computer literacy:
• Working proficiency of Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Business Object tool required
• Experience with Tableau, Power Query, PowerAutomate, AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) desired; affinity with developing AI agents, vibe coding preferred
• Good business sense, working knowledge of BCG/service industry commercial/finance process.
• Good analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a virtual team and a global environment through establishing positive and productive working relationships (self-motivated, responsive, service oriented)
• Proven ability to plan work effectively and prioritize work, even in stressful situations.
