A leading logistics company is seeking an Asia Pacific Cross-Border Solutions Director. The role involves developing trade strategies, managing business operations, and ensuring compliance across regions. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in logistics, strong leadership skills, and bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin.
Develop and implement regional cross-border trade strategies for the following key business models:
Mature Model Replication: High-tech import supply chain solutions (e.g., chips, LCD screens) via Hong Kong and other bonded ports.
New Model – Chinese Enterprise Outbound: Support Chinese brands (e.g., mobile phones, home appliances, EVs) in expanding to global markets through bonded warehousing, distribution, and financial logistics services.
New Model – Platform-Based Export: Design logistics solutions for sellers on Amazon, Temu, Shein, AliExpress — including warehousing, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery in overseas markets.
New Model – Southeast Asia Agricultural Exports: Develop logistics corridors for exports from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and others for fruits (e.g., bananas, durians), frozen food, rubber, and rice.
Identify and develop competitive end-to-end supply chain services for key industries:
Mobility: EBIKE, EV parts, 3D printers
Agriculture: Tropical fruits, frozen chicken, natural rubber
Lead business development and P&L for each model; own pricing and cost structure optimization.
Coordinate cross-border compliance and bonded trade design with customs and government agencies.
Develop regional partnership networks including bonded zones, freight providers, warehouses, and last-mile couriers.
Represent the company in high-level external meetings, forums, and with regulatory bodies.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics.
Minimum 10 years of experience in cross-border logistics or Asia-focused trade strategy roles.
Deep knowledge of platform-based trade, bonded warehouse operations, and customs regulation in China and Southeast Asia.
Strong leadership, communication, and partnership-building skills.
Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is mandatory; other Asian language skills are a plus.
Willingness to travel across Asia Pacific for strategic execution.
