Job Description - AS400 System Analyst (2500001A)
Roles:
- Accountable for the on-schedule deliverables of the individual team’s or working group tasks assigned covering but not limited to projects, application enhancement and support activities.
- Accountable for the quality service delivery of the individual team’s or working group tasks assigned.
- Effective user expectation management and delivery requirement.
- Effective vendor and third-party support management and evaluation.
- Effective internal and external interface and liaison management.
- Active participation in various activities between teams in providing a complete end-to-end solution to business users.
- Assist in co-ordination, planning, resources allocation and projects/task allocation when and where requested by the team leads to ensure business solution delivery within the agreed schedule.
- Actively manage and participate in technical feasibility study, user requirement evaluation and solution proposal.
- Responsible for the on-schedule and quality service of the projects/tasks assigned inclusive of application support maintenance.
- Ensure conduct and compliance to the organization standards and procedures.
- Management reporting and status update as requested.
- To be a pro-active member of the team in exercising collective leadership.
- Ensure on-time cost recovery charge out and time clock reporting.
- Provide customer support to address business requirements, industry/market drivers, and ensure quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer or related fields, with at least 2 years of working experience in a similar capacity.
- Possess effective skill with hands-on experience in project management and system development process.
- Working experience on Electronic Banking System application, or BASE24 Classic Application.
- Possess strong technical skill on AS/400 RPG, CL and COBOL or HPNS COBOL.
- Experience and additional technical skill on Base24 system, Silverlake Core Banking System and Debit Card implementation is a definite advantage.
- Preferable good knowledge in programming and system development life cycle.
- Possess strong analytical, problem and conflict management skill.
- Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess self-initiative and able to work independently and collaboratively with people at various levels.
- Customer focus and service-oriented personality.
- Experienced in vendor deliverables management is essential.
- Good command of English.
- Willing to travel, work overtime or on call to support the application.
