We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to be responsible for managing and leading a high-performance team of Clinical Nutrition Executives (CNE) to ensure effective and ethical promotion of Nestlé Health Science products to Health Care Professionals.
A day in the life of an Area Sales Manager
- Responsible for planning marketing and promotional activities in the assigned area, following agreed sales and marketing reviews.
- Develop an action plan (reviewed quarterly with the NSM) that identifies objectives and strategies (prioritizing resources, samples, detailing, materials, professional items, etc.) to achieve these objectives.
- Prepare and execute a field coverage plan of contacts/customers important to the NHS Business within the territory to meet sales and budget targets, leveraging SFE fundamentals.
- Organize and conduct regular team meetings to enhance training and communicate marketing and selling strategies, ensuring follow-up on action points.
- Coach, appraise, motivate, and lead competent Medical Representatives and Nutrition Executives to achieve business objectives, support professional development, and identify candidates for succession planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and top officials aligned with the business plan.
- Utilize the SFE program to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the medical sales team.
What will make you successful
- University degree or equivalent.
- Experience in pharma or medical equipment sales.
- Experience managing and working with a team, collaborating with sales counterparts.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with health officials, including consultants, specialists (surgeons, physicians, dieticians, pharmacists), and ancillary staff such as nurses and paramedics.
- Experience managing resources to meet business objectives.
- Experience organizing activities with medical/paramedical health professionals on topics related to adult nutrition, products, R&D, etc.
- Ability to independently manage challenging market environments to achieve and exceed goals.
