This position reports to

Marketing & Sales Manager - Asia Region

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive business growth in the assigned area (countries) in Asia. You will explore opportunities for new business development and strengthen relationships with existing accounts. You will also support the local sales organization and customers throughout the sales process with relevant knowledge of products and markets. The work model for this role is: #hybrid. This position contributes to the Motion Large Motors & Generators division. You will mainly be accountable for:

  1. Creating division sales plans for the area, in coordination with the Sales organization and teams. Drive business development for synchronous generators in Asia.
  2. Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through market information and insights from the Sales organization.
  3. Ensuring effective marketing actions (e.g., product launches) and communication to the Sales organization and customers, highlighting the value proposition of the company's products, systems, services, and packages.
  4. Supporting the Sales organization and customers in identifying technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, and in preparing competitive and strategic offers.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or commerce.
  • At least 10 years of front-end sales experience in motors & generators products and related systems; managerial experience in sales & marketing is a plus.
  • Good industry and application knowledge, e.g., Marine, Energy (Oil & Gas, Power Generation), Water, etc.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify market and industry opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing effective relationships at all levels.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English; proficiency in other Asian languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work globally within different cultures.
