Job description

An Area Managers who provide leadership, coaching, people development and improved restaurant operations to maximize the long-term sales and profit. In expected to demonstrate Company values and leadership behaviour to build positive business relationship with external and internal customers. Personnel will work closely with restaurant teams to achieving operational results: upholding the standards of Food, Safety and Cleanliness, achieving health department standards, meeting and/ or exceeding Company Gold Standards, and timely execution of new promotions and new product and equipment initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities:

a) Operational oversight

  • Supervise and support the daily operations of multiple restaurant locations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local laws.
  • Monitor and enhance operational efficiency, including inventory management, food safety, and equipment maintenance.

b) Sales and profitability

  • Analyse sales reports and financial statements to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to increase sales, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
  • Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and customer traffic.

c) Compliance and reporting

  • Prepare and present regular reports to the Head of Operation.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to operations, inventory, cash float and employee performance.
  • Ensure all locations comply with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.

d) Staff management

  • Monitor and ensure labor costs optimization while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Provide job performance insights to associates with offer constructive improvement when required.
  • Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service across all locations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements as necessary.

Qualification and Education Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Hospitality Management, Business Studies/ Administration/ Management or equivalent.
  • At least five (5) year(s) of working experience in Fast-food or quick service restaurant management is required for this position.
  • Proven experience in the food and beverage industry, managing multiple outlets.

Preferred Skills:

  • Required language(s): Good command of spoken and written English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Accounting system and etc.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, particularly P&L statements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Possess own transport and travel frequently to various outlets to monitor performance and provide support.
