Job summary

A leading construction contractor is seeking an Architectural Supervisor to oversee and ensure compliance of on-site activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in site supervision and hold a relevant degree in Engineering. The role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as proficiency in Auto-CAD and Microsoft Office. This contract position is located in Batu Pahat, with travel required for site visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in site supervision.
• Preferably a Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Architect/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Good understanding of building regulations.

Supervise and inspect the daily work of contractors and subcontractors to ensure completion of works as scheduled and in accordance with approved plans/drawings, contract specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Provide assistance with site problems and propose mitigation solutions that may arise from time to time.

Amend drawings as required from time to time.

Conduct periodic checks on works and liaise frequently with subcontractors and consultants to ensure construction works are completed within the planned schedule and budgets, in accordance with standards, legal requirements, and project-specific procedures.

Record and monitor all matters pertaining to construction activities and progress of work.

Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective actions.

Ensure all materials delivered to site meet the approved specifications.

Coordinate and discuss on-site matters with all relevant parties, internal and external, to ensure the project is delivered as scheduled.

Act as the project representative for the company during meetings with clients and relevant agencies such as certifying authorities, auditors, government agencies, third parties, etc.

Provide regular updates, reports, recommendations, and analysis to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years in site supervision, preferably with property developers and/or contractors.
• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Architecture) or equivalent.
• Required skills: Auto-CAD, Microsoft Office, proficient in using computers/laptops.
• Preferably a Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Architect/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Willing to travel/relocate.
• Working: 6 days a week.
• Good understanding of building regulations, construction techniques, and project implementation processes.
• Good time management and teamwork skills.
• Possess good interpersonal skills, meticulous, and confident.
• Organized, disciplined, highly motivated, proactive, and a team player.

This is a contract position, renewable based on project needs.
