Our Client, a leading industrial real estate developer specializing in sustainable and innovative architectural solutions for global projects is looking for potential candidate to fill in the role as Architectural Designer to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Description:

Design and Conceptualization:

Collaborate with HOD and Lead Architectural Designer to develop and refine design concepts for architectural projects.

Create architectural plans, sketches, and 3D models using software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design tools.

Translate client requirements and design aspirations into functional and aesthetically pleasing architectural solutions.

Project Development:

Develop schematic designs, design development, and construction documentation.

Ensure that architectural designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.

Integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into the architectural design.

Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and other specialists as needed.

Research and Innovation:

Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and sustainable design practices.

Conduct research on materials, construction techniques, and emerging technologies.

Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient principles into architectural designs when applicable.

Technical Expertise:

Prepare detailed construction documents, including architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.

Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) software for design, documentation, and coordination.

Review shop drawings and material samples for compliance with design intent.

Presentation and Communication:

Create compelling design presentations for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Model & Render using Lumion, Twinmotion or Unreal.

Participate in client meetings and presentations to convey design ideas and progress if needed.

Maintain clear and effective communication with project team members, clients, and contractors.

Quality Control and Problem Solving:

Perform quality checks on drawings and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Identify and resolve design and construction issues as they arise during the project.

Contribute to the overall quality and consistency of design work produced by the firm.

Project Management: (Optional)

Collaborate with HOD and Lead Architectural Designer, project managers to ensure projects are completed on time.

Monitor project progress and contribute to the management of project timelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture.

Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit (AR,ST/MEP), SketchUp, Lumion or Unreal),

Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.

Excellent design and visualization skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

An understanding of sustainability and environmental considerations in design is often a plus.

Architectural Designers work in developer, architectural firms, design studios, or construction companies and are integral to the entire architectural project lifecycle, from initial concept development to project completion. Their creative and technical expertise helps shape the built environment and create functional, aesthetically pleasing structures.
