Job description

The architectural CAD drafter is expected to work closely with the LDCL team to deliver architectural and engineering designs and drawings for various projects. The role involves ensuring the timeliness and quality of submitted designs. The candidate must be familiar with CAD software. Working hours follow standard office hours, with occasional overtime depending on project demands. This is a part-time role with potential for full-time employment.

1. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use CAD software to create detailed architectural and construction drawings with proper formatting and presentation.
• Handle drafting and designing assignments under supervision, reviewing drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Create drawings and models from verbal and written specifications provided by the project engineer.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers regarding drafting standards, model design, accuracy, and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other drafters to maintain design consistency. Complete project responsibilities within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the design team. Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
• Execute projects effectively as planned, communicate project status, and escalate issues to the engineering manager when necessary.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient in 2D CAD drafting across disciplines such as Architectural, Interior Design, Structural, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, and Audio-Visual.
• Basic knowledge of Audio-Visual integration systems design (training provided).
• Ability to produce architectural floor plans, elevations, and sectional layouts following building standards.
• Ability to create engineering diagrams like schematics and interconnection diagrams (preferred).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit, Sketchup, IronCAD, Solidworks, Maya, or 3ds Max is a plus.
• Intermediate graphic design skills (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) are preferred.
• Ability to review engineering and technical documentation, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to engage with clients for design discussions and presentations.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and high attention to quality.

3. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Proficient in CAD software or equivalent.
• Good command of English, both oral and written.
• Passion, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently are highly valued.
