Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Architect to coordinate design works between consultants, clients and internal project teams, ensuring design intent is met through all project stages.

You will review drawings, manage specifications, resolve technical issues on site, track progress and prepare authority submissions, while coordinating with M&E, C&S and ID teams to avoid clashes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or related field.
• 3–5 years of working experience in both design and construction environments, preferably within design and build projects.
• Experience in data centre projects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing, building codes and construction processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant design software.
• Good communication and coordination skills able to work with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural design works between consultants, clients and internal project teams to ensure design intent is met throughout all project stages.
• Review and manage architectural drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements regulations and design concepts.
• Work closely with the design team to resolve technical issues site constraints and discrepancies during the design and construction stages.
• Assist in tracking design progress and ensure timely submission of drawings/documents as per project schedule.
• Prepare and submit documents for authority approval, and follow up to ensure timely clearances.
• Participate in design workshops and internal reviews to improve constructability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure coordination with M&E, C&S, and ID teams to avoid design clashes and ensure smooth integration of architectural elements.
• Prepare and maintain proper documentation logs and records related to architectural work and design changes.
• Be hands-on in managing design revisions updates and communicating changes effectively to the site team and consultants.
