A leading company in architecture seeks a Project Coordinator in Kuala Lumpur to assist in planning and executing projects. The ideal candidate will support site activities, manage documentation, and work collaboratively with contractors and clients. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's in Architecture, have experience in project coordination, and be familiar with architectural software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring architecture or construction projects from start to finish.
Support the team in preparing drawings, design proposals, and presentation materials when needed.
Help manage site activities — including checking progress, quality, and ensuring work follows drawings and specs.
Liaise and follow up with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth workflow.
Attend site meetings and client briefings; prepare minutes and follow-up action lists.
Assist in documentation such as work progress reports, variation orders (VO), claims, and submission letters.
Monitor project timelines and flag any potential delays or issues to the project lead or superior.
Support in coordinating authority submissions and approvals (if required).
Maintain proper filing of drawings, documents, and project correspondence.
Perform ad-hoc tasks related to project delivery, design coordination, or site troubleshooting as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Part I.
Basic training or certification in project management is an added advantage (e.g., PMP fundamentals, short courses, or hands-on exposure).
1 to 3 years of working experience in architecture firms, construction supervision, or project coordination roles.
Hands-on involvement in small to mid-scale projects such as residential developments, commercial buildings, office fit-outs, or renovations.
Able to read and understand architectural drawings and construction details.
Proficient in software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Excel, and basic MS Project (or willing to learn).
Familiarity with local authority submission processes is a plus.
Able to assist in preparing reports, progress updates, and documentation.
Willing to visit sites and assist in supervising works to ensure design and quality are followed.
Able to liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
Basic understanding of construction timelines, materials, and workflow.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Responsible, organized, and willing to learn.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Team player with a positive attitude and hands-on mindset.
Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required.
Open to multitasking and taking on various project-related roles as part of a lean team.
