Job summary

MKA Group is seeking a capable Accountant Team Lead (Accounts Receivable & Reporting) to supervise the AR team in a multi-industry setting in Malaysia. The role emphasizes credit control, reporting, and process improvement, with close collaboration across departments.

You will drive end-to-end AR activities, monitor aging, support month-end closing, and contribute to automation and dashboard reporting. A Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, with at least five years of AR

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounts receivable experience.
• At least 1–2 years in supervision or leadership.
• Experience in financial reporting, dashboards, and consolidation.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain customer profiles, credit information, and credit limits.
• Review customer creditworthiness and ensure compliance with credit policies.
• Monitor AR aging, reconcile accounts, follow up on overdue payments.
• Oversee AR process including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Lead, coach, and develop the AR team.
• Drive process improvements, support automation initiatives.
• Support month-end/year-end closing, audits, reporting.
• Handle AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and other accounting functions.
• Assist in preparation of financial disclosures and close processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting deadlines.
• Maintain financial dashboards and ensure timely data entry.
• Work closely with operations to resolve accounting issues.
• Perform other ad hoc accounting and admin duties.
