Your new role
As the Appointed Actuary, you will be responsible for fulfilling all statutory actuarial obligations under local insurance regulations. This includes preparing and signing off on key actuarial reports such as the Financial Condition Report (FCR), Liability Valuations, and Risk-Based Capital calculations. You will serve as an independent advisor to the Board and senior management, ensuring the adequacy of reserves and the financial soundness of the company. You will be expected to maintain high professional standards, demonstrate sound judgment, and contribute to strategic decisions and transformation, particularly in relation to solvency, risk, and long-term sustainability.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or similar and currently pursuing the Actuarial Professional Exam
- Qualified Actuary
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, with a strong track record in both Reserving and Pricing functions
- Strong leadership, project management and organisational skills
