Responsibilities & Skills

Join the winning team! Lattice is looking for a motivated and experienced factory Applications Engineer to support system designs with our current and future industry-leading devices and SW tools. The right engineer will have significant experience in system design, RISC V, embedded peripherals IPs, FW/SW development and debug. As part of the IP Product Enablement team, we bridge the customer-factory relationship, clear technical hurdles and provide timely and reliable solutions. While Lattice is successful in helping our customers slash their time-to-market and bottom-line with our market-driven solutions, we want to continue to invite experts to challenge the status quo. Our IP Product Enablement team is seeking an outstanding team member to help design and execute "best-in-class" solutions for our best-in-class low power, small form factor, high reliability and performance product line.

Specific job skill requirements

1. FPGA system design knowledge, software or firmware knowledge is highly desirable.
2. Experience in developing, leading and managing system-level design projects including reference designs, system demos and/or custom systems is an advantage.
3. Experience using embedded development tools, logic analyser, I2C/SPI analyser, USB analyser is an advantage.
4. Experience with RISCV architecture and RTOS is an advantage.
5. Experience with host driver development is an advantage.
6. Hands-on FPGA development experience, including verification is highly desirable.

General requirements:

1. BS/MS in EE with 10+ years of experience
2. Hands-on FPGA and/or firmware bring-up/debugging experience using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers is required.
3. Expertise in FPGA design flows, Verilog and/or VHDL
4. Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal required
5. Hands-on experience delivering revenue-generating hardware products is required
6. Participation in all aspects of product development, from architecture and specification through documentation, market release and customer support.
7. Must be able to work independently and also in a team environment
