Job description

About the Role

  • Support and manage BNM systems, IT infrastructure, and daily operations.
  • Translate user needs into technical specifications and ensure quality development.
  • Coordinate with vendors and project managers to meet deliverables.
  • Provide application support, troubleshoot issues, and monitor performance.
  • Maintain documentation, assist in testing, and train users on best practices.

  • Participating in the design making procedure of projects and supporting different versions of software.
  • Testing software for any bugs.
  • Designing product for specifications.
  • Providing appropriate training to the team members.
  • Managing projects efficiently.
  • Analyzing the technical user requirements.
  • Development of user specific solutions.
  • Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials.
  • Log, track, and manage incidents using Jira.

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution timelines.
  • Building relationships with business partners and managing resources internally and externally as collaboration strategy for a smooth IT operation.
  • Evaluate documented resolution and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Field incoming help requests from users via both telephone and work orders in a courteous manner.
  • Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems to the appropriately experienced technician.
  • Record, track and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
  • Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
  • Ensure applications comply with organizational policies and security standards.
  • Participate in audits and implement necessary controls.

Skills, certifications and experience you possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
  • Possess at least 5 years’ experience in banking and minimum 2 years of experience in Bank supporting BNM application systems and IT infrastructure support, including projects and Disaster Recovery.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of SQL, Java, Unix, Jira and current technologies, and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, compliance, and risk management in application services.
  • Expert knowledge about computer applications and scripting knowledge.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions that positively impact the organization.
