Application & Project Engineer

Your Role:

As a key member of our engineering team, your primary responsibility is to support frontline Sales Engineers (often working off-site) by designing and selecting fit-for-purpose pump and rotating equipment solutions. You’ll be involved from pre-sales technical support through to post-order project execution, working closely with customers, internal teams, suppliers, and our field service engineers. This is a behind-the-scenes support role that plays a crucial part in our end-to-end project success — and a fantastic opportunity to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to Sales Engineers by selecting appropriate rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, blowers) based on customer requirements.
2. Prepare comprehensive technical proposals including equipment sizing, system layouts, scope clarifications, and detailed cost estimations for equipment and spare parts.
3. Review customer inquiries and tender specifications, and recommend suitable equipment configurations.
4. Assist Sales Engineers in responding to technical and commercial queries from customers.
5. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with project goals.
6. Perform pricing and margin analysis to ensure commercial viability.
7. Liaise with suppliers and sub-vendors for technical and commercial negotiations to strengthen proposals.
8. Manage the order process from purchase documentation to project coordination and execution.
9. Work with supply chain and manufacturing partners to manage quotations and monitor order progress.
10. Maintain and update a quote tracking system; follow up regularly with Sales Engineers on the status of submitted proposals.
11. Support procurement with technical evaluations and vendor coordination.
12. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies to continuously improve your technical knowledge.

What You Bring:

1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Process, or related Engineering disciplines.
2. 1–2 years of relevant experience in the pump or industrial equipment industry is advantageous — but not required.
3. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in engineering are encouraged to apply — mentorship and structured guidance will be provided.
4. Basic understanding of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, engines, and electric motors.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD is advantageous.
6. A problem-solver who is self-motivated and can work independently in any environment.
7. Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively across departments and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
