Job summary

PPG is seeking a SAP BTP developer to join the global MDM Analytics team, focusing on master data for materials and customers. You will design, build, and optimize cloud-native applications using CAP, Java/JS/Node.js, and REST/SOAP APIs, while collaborating with SAP COE and cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.

The role involves testing, documentation, MDR configuration maintenance, and contributing to Connect (China) Phase II.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE/CE or related field is required.
• 3–5+ years of SAP BTP development experience.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP Developer's Guide best practices.
• Proficiency in CAP and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript or Node.js; REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Good problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

The SAP BTP developer will join the global MDM Analytics team, specifically within the Master Data Request COE area, responsible for creating and managing master data for materials and customers.

Responsibilities

• You’ll maintenance, optimize, and improve the application, design and develop cloud-native applications and extensions in SAP BTP, using BPA and CAP.
• You’ll perform unit and integration testing to ensure applications function correctly.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Partner with the SAP COE and functional teams to ensure successful solution integration and agreement on business requirements.
• Collaborate functionally to maintain MDR configurations.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Collaborate in the development and test of Phase II of Connect (China).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 or more years of experience with SAP BTP development.
• SAP BTP Developer's Guide: Essential Best Practices from Setup to Scale
• Proficiency in CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Node.js are crucial. REST / SOAP API development and integration.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
