A global packaging solutions leader in Subang Jaya is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to oversee sustainability reporting and regulatory insights. The Sustainability Analyst will cover the sustainability reporting, regulatory and other sustainability insights requirements for AFAP.
Principal Accountabilities:
i. Assisting the Sustainability Director to develop an effective Sustainability function, including:
• Proactively seeking opportunities to improve knowledge and insights from AFAP data;
• Proactively guiding and coaching AFAP sustainability teams in Enviroaction;
ii. Continually evaluating priorities and allocating resources accordingly, including:
• maintaining a schedule and progress report of Enviroaction projects;
• regularly communicating with stakeholders to ascertain their views of priorities and matching these with the schedule;
• proactively engaging with BU and site Enviroaction champions to ensure focused on identified priorities; and
• Anticipating and prioritising needs.
iii. AFAP Enviroaction and Sedex Management Systems – assisting the Sustainability Director to:
• Developing and maintaining effective Enviroaction and Sedex procedures and systems.
• Enable timely and accurate reporting to Amcor Group requirements;
• Training BU and site personnel in Enviroaction and Sedex systems and having an effective record of training in compliance with required procedures;
• Maintain Enviroaction KPI and metrics system including reporting as required (ie MMR, QBR’s)
• Manage and continually improve existing data collection and reporting systems.
iv. AFAP Sustainability Reporting
• Engage and direct AFAP BU co-workers for accurate and timely sustainability reporting
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual sustainability reporting for BU’s and AFAP per required timing.
• Maintain and update all Sedex reporting requirements for AFAP.
• Develop, design and present safety and sustainability data reports to leadership
• Provide benchmarking comparison data, data extraction and presentation.
• Developing and establishing standard reports as well as information for ad-hoc projects
• Proactively seek to improve AFAP Sustainability reporting.
v. AFAP Regulatory and other packaging insights
• Recycling & value chain in Asia Pacific countries
- Establish reporting on recycling of flexible and paper packaging by country
- Establish and maintain register of packaging regulation by country in Asia Pacific and advise on implications for Amcor.
vi. Support actively Corporate/AFAP Initiatives
• Safety
- Actively participate in the Amcor Flexibles Safety program; lead by example to create a safe working culture;
- Ensure adherence to Amcor Safety policies at all time;
- Undertake safety leadership tours and report findings to site leaders.
• Support other initiatives
- Support improvement projects as needed with modelling, business cases, project tracking and project management
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Management or Sustainability is minimum
Masters Degree or higher in fields such as: Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Business, Information Management, Sustainability would be an advantage
1-3 years’ experience designing and operating large reporting and analytical systems - preferred
Experience working for a consulting group will be an advantage
Strong command of English Language and ability to communicate fluently with different nationalities and cultures
Familiarity with manufacturing and packaging industry is a plus
Job Specific Technical Requirements:
Spreadsheet modelling and PowerPoint advanced level are a must
Strong knowledge in data science and mathematical analytical techniques
Strong project management skills
Strong presentation and communication skills
Structured, meticulous, detail oriented
Willingness to travel (0-25%)
High level of numeracy and accuracy is required
Ability to interact, communicate, present complex models and data clearly and simply
