All about the role:
In our Global Business Services organization, the Regional Manager– Master Data Management is part of the Global Master Data Management organization. This position reports to the Manager of Global Master Data Operations who is keeping the Master Data Operations for all regions together.
The Global Master Data Management organization consists of all the Master Data capabilities we see needed for the Group – strategy, technology, functional solutioning, process, governance, knowledge management and operations. There is a tight collaboration within the GMDM team for ensuring the best deliveries to the Group while developing the team as a learning organization.
Our MDM solution is built in a SAP system and is supporting all SAP solutions but not limited to SAP. The MDM solution is supporting cross processes and regions, and we are involved in how the business processes are evolving.
In this position, you will engage with business stakeholders at different levels and with a focus on the regional stakeholders. You will be the management contact point for the global MDM team in this region. Kuala Lumpur is the office location and where you will have your team of MDM Analysts for the APAC region - and you will act as part of the global organization. You will be the people leader for the APAC MDM team and foster a team with Teamship, team trust and learning – in collaboration with the colleagues globally and locally. Together we will deliver quality assured master data to support efficient business transactions, both for implemented solutions and in projects.
What You will do:
- Master Data Maintenance deliverables according to KPI’s and quality assurance.
- Guide and coach direct reports and support in directing activities to ensure work adheres to business requirements including processes, procedures, standards and change control processes.
- Identify risks that may affect eventual projects, assisting in the development of contingency and mitigation plans as required.
- Collaboration and development of process and tools as a part of the global master data organization.
- Foster a learning team with team trust, teamship and an empowered approach.
- Own the regional stakeholder communication.
- Take part in developing the data governance strategy in GMDM management forum.
- Full day-to-day line management responsibilities for team, applying People Management Processes.
- Actively build cross-functional and cross-competence collaboration within and outside the data governance area.
- Maintain leadership and personal skills at a high level.
- Actively contribute in project and transformation activities.
The position may entail one or more of the following specific tasks:
- Manage large projects in a professional and active manner, improving the quality and reducing project risks.
- Manage business relationships.
- Review and approve project deliverables.
Who You Are:
- Minimum of three years of work experience with SAP master data processes in international environment.
- People Leader experience and ability to build a trusting and learning environment.
- Project management or project participation experience, and if experience with data migration it is a bonus.
- Experience in working with data standardization, quality assurance and automation.
- Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities while leading the team effectively.
- Insights and experience in collaboration between different locations and time zones.
- Strong in communication and information sharing for helping stakeholders and the team to work as efficiently as possible.
- Experience and competence in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA are required. Previous experience of working in other SAP modules is an advantage.
- Experience from a finance, HR, purchasing, sales, logistics, supply chain or demand flow.
- MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel/Access, Teams, Project, Visio).
- Collaborative team player. You have exceptional collaboration and communication skills, proven ability to form strong cross-functional relationships with varying business partners in complex setups and take help as needed.
