Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a Financial Services Researcher in Kuala Lumpur to produce high-quality enhanced due diligence reports for APAC financial services clients. You will conduct in-depth public records research, discreet interviews, and prepare clear, analytical reports to support regulatory compliance and major banking transactions, while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills in both languages.
• Proficient in open-source research techniques.
• Able to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Good communication across seniority levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct public records research and discreet interviews for intel.
• Draft summaries and findings on complex topics.
• Produce high-quality research reports for financial institution clients.
• Assist in scoping research and communicate client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients to clarify project scope and questions.
• Expand research resources and manage vendors in the region.
• Collaborate with colleagues to address client queries.
