Objectives of the Position
The Asia Pacific Trading Center (APTC) creates a focal point to connect suppliers all around the globe to all Asian countries. It handles intra-company purchase orders and hence acts as a virtual trading organization providing a high degree of control over import/export supply chain activities for regional business units. It creates substantial tax advantages for our organization. The Expert will ensure to implement the enhanced efficient and effective process in all AP countries for all business units and to continue improving and harmonizing the system process in the future. This new position will report to the Head of APTC regional head.
Main Tasks
- Process Expert for processes required in APTC operations and services
- Provide classroom training and hands-on support to APTC team members
- Using Lean techniques ensure that day-to-day processing is as efficient and effective as possible and maximizes usage of global systems for communicating information to all parties involved in the process.
- Work closely with country and Hub organization to ensure input to APTC are accurate and contain appropriate information for efficient and effective processing, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk
- Work with Regional Process Experts to generate change requests when improvements to system functionality are required
- Provide the necessary support for Business Release Management ensuring successful knowledge transfer to APTC users as well as coordinating all user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Using the non-conformance system, identify areas of improvement and work with the concerned parties to ensure corrective measures are put in place
- Coordinate with Operations Lead to address improvement opportunities specific to their businesses
- Participate in projects representing APTC and its processes
- Facilitate the sharing and deployment of best practices to improve cooperation and overall performance across the region
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management
Working Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years in SCM/Logistics area of which minimum 3 years of management experience within supply chain environment. Demonstrated Lean Six Sigma project experience with successful results.
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Supply chain management/process knowledge, SAP (SD module) experience, operational order management, foreign documentary trade, analytical thinking, leading with key performance indicators, good communication skills. Able to work independently and effectively with various levels of people. Strong in planning, coordination, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills plus cultural awareness. Flexible and self-initiated with an open and innovative mindset.
