Introduction

Avanade is seeking experienced an Analytic Architect - Data & AI with strong SQL Server and Windows Server expertise to support Microsoft Unified Support projects. Candidates must possess professional proficiency in Mandarin to engage effectively with customers.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, supporting customers in their digital transformation journeys with deep technical expertise, solution architecture guidance, and proactive technical leadership.

What you'll do

Understanding Customer Technical Environment:

• Gather customer insights (technical preferences, business needs, competitive landscape).

• Map Microsoft architecture and solutions to customer outcomes.

• Serve as the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to influence internal Microsoft teams using structured channels.

Technical Expertise - SQL Server, Windows Server Focus:

• Act as Subject Matter Expert in:

• SQL Server deployments, migrations, and optimization.

• Windows Server architecture, deployment, and administration.

• On-premises to Azure cloud migrations and hybrid deployments.

• Provide technical leadership in:

• Database governance and operations.

• Enterprise data platform architecture.

• Cloud-scale analytics solutions.

Architecture Design and Deployment:

• Participate in architectural reviews, resiliency assessments, and optimization workshops.

• Guide customers towards well-architected environments with production-ready deployments.

• Ensure best practices across SQL Server and Windows Server solutions in hybrid and cloud environments.

Practice Development & Trusted Advisor Role:

• Identify reusable IP opportunities for solution standardization.

• Build impactful relationships with technical stakeholders and decision-makers.

• Advise and challenge customers constructively during technical discussions.

• Understand competitive solutions and articulate Microsoft’s differentiation.

Thought Leadership & Community Engagement:

• Share insights, technical strategies, and best practices within internal Microsoft/Avanade teams.

• Participate in external community events (seminars, technical forums, etc.).

Skills & Experiences

• 6+ years of professional experience in:

• Consulting, technical presales, or enterprise platform implementation.

• Data platform architecture using Azure SQL Server and Windows Server.

• Professional proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) - written and spoken.

• Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid architecture (Azure preferred).

• Knowledge of open-source database migrations and data analytics platforms is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability in:

• Customer engagement and advisory roles.

• Leading technical teams and virtual collaboration.

• Driving solution design and technical decision-making.

About You

Preferred Technical Skills:

• SQL Server optimization, clustering, HA/DR, and migrations.

• Windows Server administration and infrastructure management.

• Azure Databricks, Synapse, PowerBI

• Data governance and security.

• PowerShell / scripting skills (preferred).

• Exposure to NoSQL platforms and data warehousing solutions (advantageous).

• Technical leadership and hands-on solutioning.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities in both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
