Job Summary

The prime objective of the Analyst, Unit Financial Control is to reconcile daily incoming/outgoing cash movement on TLB DDA accounts, provide aging reports and status updates to RBC Agency, and enrich entries in Chase to assist with wire investigations.

Job Description

Working Hours: 9AM-6PM

  1. Responsible for reconciling designated processes under prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and applying solid knowledge of Product Operations, procedures, methods, and systems to the reconciliation process.
  2. Ensure daily/monthly data feeds are received on time, with proper follow-up for missing or incorrect information, e.g., IT incident tickets raised.
  3. Apply knowledge of supported products and processes, such as payment methods, terms and conditions, general operating policies, rules, and regulations used by correspondents, clients, and their agents in daily account reconciliation.
  4. Maintain high accuracy to identify and investigate true discrepancies.
  5. Support the creation, updating, and maintenance of SOPs, demonstrating strong understanding and application of these procedures.
  6. Strictly adhere to policies and regulatory requirements.
  7. Have a good understanding of operational controls and their application to reconciliation processing.
  8. Display good judgment and decision-making skills, with strong product knowledge, transactional flows, and accounting related to supported client groups.
  9. Identify and report true discrepancies within SLAs, escalating items that could represent potential losses to the bank immediately.
  10. Promote teamwork, open communication, and staff morale.
  11. Share information proactively with colleagues.
  12. Identify system or process improvements to streamline reconciliation and increase efficiency, such as matching rules and automation.
  13. Identify service gaps and suggest improvements to management.
  14. Participate in personal development and cross-training initiatives based on business needs.
  15. Support reconciliation processes, including month-end and standalone processes, within the team’s scope.
  16. Demonstrate flexibility to take on project work outside of regular reconciliation tasks as needed by management.
