Job Description
Material Planning (Buyer) Responsibilities:
- Responsible for raw material replenishment. Maintain supply visibility of minimum 3 months.
- Secure delivery confirmation from suppliers for all purchase orders.
- Expedite material deliveries to support production and customer orders.
- Manage bottlenecks and allocations for materials in critical shortage.
- Ensure integrity of master data & parameters in SAP & add*ONE system to enable automatic MRP planning. Drive Purchasing to maintain relevant Purchasing/Vendor master data.
- Manage material auto-replenishment within warehouses via mini macro & min-max settings.
- Track & monitor supplier delivery performance (SSL3) & define improvement measures.
- Manage material phase-in/out resulting from engineering changes, product/material EOL, etc., and adjust planning accordingly.
- Handle special procurement activities such as Last Time Buy (LTB), below MOQ purchases, risk purchases, etc.
- Review supplier capacity regularly and escalate constraints for resolution.
- Manage & track safety stock to support business fluctuations.
- Control raw materials inventory according to TCT targets and reschedule orders as needed.
- Manage excess & obsolete stock, analyze coverage, and optimize stock levels.
- Coordinate RTV processes for supplier logistics issues and liaise with PUQ & PQE for technical replacements.
Production Planning Responsibilities:
- Develop Rough Production Plans (RPP) for 24 months.
- Level production load according to BPS maturity requirements.
- Convert, release, and schedule production orders based on leveling patterns.
- Ensure data integrity in production/planned orders and RPP to support correct MRP runs.
- Align production capacity with manufacturing teams regularly.
- Monitor production output, sub-assembly progress, and customer order fulfillment.
- Drive production to meet targets and optimize SKU and sub-assembly mixes, reducing backlogs.
LPV Responsibilities:
- Support NPI, new launches, and ALRs as a Logistics team member.
- Assist with samples and pilot runs.
- Participate actively in project meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely SOPs.
- Update production/delivery status in meetings and drive material readiness for ramp-up plans.
- Analyze and communicate feasibility and restrictions related to ramp-up.
- Maintain MM & release pronovia timely for automatic MRP planning.
- Coordinate packaging lot sizes for new materials before SOP.
Supporting Role:
- BPS and supplier flexibility initiatives.
- Contribute to PPT/add*One system or process improvements.
- Enhance plant, manufacturing line, and supply chain flexibility.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
Qualification & Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in material planning, production planning, or procurement (buyer). Experience in order management/demand planning is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially with overseas suppliers (China).
