Job Description
Material Planning (Buyer) Responsibilities:
- Responsible for raw material replenishment. Maintain supply visibility of minimum 3 months.
- Secure delivery confirmation from suppliers for all PO.
- Expedite material deliveries to support production & customer orders.
- Bottleneck & allocation management for materials in critical shortage.
- Ensure integrity of master data & parameters in SAP & add*ONE system to enable automatic MRP planning. Drive Purchasing to maintain Purchasing/Vendor master data relevant to MRP run.
- Manage material auto replenishment within warehouses via mini macro & min-max setting.
- Track & monitor supplier delivery performance (SSL3) & define improvement measures.
- Track, monitor & manage material phase-in/out due to Engineering changes, product/material EOL, etc. Adjust planning accordingly.
- Manage special procurement activities like Last Time Buy (LTB), purchase below MOQ, risk purchase, vendor change, mold modifications.
- Review supplier capacity regularly and escalate constraints for resolution.
- Manage & track safety stock to support business fluctuations.
- Control raw materials inventory according to TCT targets and reschedule SA/PO as needed.
- Manage excess & obsolete stock, analyze coverage, and optimize stock levels.
- Coordinate RTV process for supplier logistics issues and liaise with PUQ & PQE on replacements.
Production Planning Responsibilities:
- Develop Rough Production Plan (RPP) for up to 24 months.
- Level production loading based on BPS maturity.
- Convert, release & schedule production orders aligning with levelling pattern.
- Ensure data integrity for production & RPP to facilitate correct MRP runs.
- Align production capacity with manufacturing team regularly.
- Monitor production output, sub-assembly progress & customer order fulfillment.
- Drive production to meet targets and optimize SKU/mix.
LPV Responsibilities:
- Support NPI launches & ALRs as part of logistics team.
- Assist with samples & pilot runs.
- Participate in project meetings, coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely SOP.
- Update production/delivery status in meetings and drive material readiness.
- Analyze feasibility & communicate restrictions for ramp-up plans.
- Maintain MM & release pronovia timely for MRP planning.
- Coordinate packaging lot sizes for kanban before SOP.
Supporting Role:
- BPS, supplier flexibility, contribute to system/process improvements, plant/manufacturing line flexibility, supply chain flexibility, and perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
Qualification & Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business studies, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in material planning, production planning, or procurement (buyer). Experience in order management/demand planning is an advantage.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office is a must.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written & verbal forms with overseas suppliers (China).
