Summary

Perform transactional activities pertaining to Fixed Asset accounting, GL accounting,
reconciliation and closing activities in accordance with accounting standards, service levels,
company policies, procedures and controls.
Prepare consolidated financial reports in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with
policies and procedures on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis or as otherwise required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Fixed Asset Accounting

1. Create and maintain asset accounting master data
2. Perform asset period end processing and reporting

General Ledger

1. Perform transactional activities within agreed timelines, i.e. maintaining system rate in SAP system
2. Perform journal entries’ park/post activities
3. Reconcile accounts with the general ledger to ensure that all entries are accurate and in compliance with accounting standards and make changes where necessary when errors are found
4. Bank reconciliation
5. FI Billing activities
6. Interco reconciliation
7. Perform monthly, quarterly and annual close processes as per closing schedule
8. Prepare analytic reports and/or accounting schedules

Reporting

1. Prepare P&L accounts, perform preliminary review and trend analysis
2. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and notes to accounts
3. Prepare and consolidate month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reports in a timely manner
4. Support Retained Finance in extraction of data/information required for statutory audit, internal audit, IFRS audit.

Others

1. Adhere to service levels, internal controls, company policies and procedures
2. Identify and report to supervisor on repetitive issues or risks, and propose improvement opportunities
3. Resolve any identified operational issues and escalate to supervisor where necessary
4. Any other ad hoc task assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

1. Degree in relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Accounting)
2. 3 years of work experience
3. Industry or shared services experience is an added advantage
4. Strong team player
5. Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is a must
6. Experience in using SAP system, especially Asset Module and GL Module, is an added advantage
