Job Description

As an Analyst, you will provide operational and client support for Settlement and Clearing across Foreign Exchange and Money Market settlements for RBC Capital Markets global trading desks.

Location & Hours

Region: UK

Working hours: 4 PM – 1 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm and settle all FX & MM trades.
  • Ensure transactions are processed in accordance with bank rules, standing orders, circulars, laid‑down procedures, and local requirements.
  • Complete daily processing and settlement tasks in a timely and accurate manner, following established procedures and standing orders.
  • Conduct intra and end‑of‑day checks daily, identify outstanding issues, and take appropriate action or escalation.
  • Provide relief support and other duties as assigned across all functions.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with Front Office, internal Global BCS colleagues, and other functions.
  • Escalate issues and risks to management.
  • Identify key areas for improvement and development to create operational efficiencies.
  • Prepare monthly attestation in PEGA and ESOD.
  • Mitigate and minimize risks.
Key Qualifications
  • Must have an MBA, university degree, or relevant professional training.
  • 1‑3 years of related operations experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of SWIFT, real‑time payment systems, international settlement rules, industry codes, and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of operational risk, impacts, and preventative control framework.
  • Ability to perform business process analysis.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (regional support structure).
