What is the opportunity?
RBC Wealth Management has provided trusted advice and wealth management solutions to individuals, families and institutions globally with a full suite of banking, investment, trust, asset management and other wealth management solutions. The team in Malaysia is responsible for ensuring execution excellence in supporting Wealth Management Operations (International and Asia), while continually evolving and driving operational effectiveness in support of the business growth strategy.
This role involves activity within the Business Surveillance Team to support the business risk framework through a full review of front office sales & advisory and order taking processes. The team conducts surveillance on investment suitability, anti-fraud and other control reviews; as well as performing independent transaction review and testing.
This role will support Singapore and Hong Kong with working hours between 9AM and 6PM.
What will you do?
Conduct surveillance on investment suitability, anti-fraud and other control reviews
Perform independent transaction review and testing, including voice log listening of trades and customer instructions
Escalate non-compliance findings to stakeholders and follow up on remediation to ensure proper closure
Support independent control activities, including pre transaction call-back process, account reactivation, static data changes and other required disclosures to customers
Provide advisory to Front Office on key controls relating to investment suitability, anti-fraud and related domains
Assess feasibility and implementation implications for new global policy or regulations
Participate in projects/initiatives (when required)
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Tertiary education in Finance and Business.
Fluent in using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail coupled with good problem solving skills; analytical and numeric reasoning skills.
Good spoken and written English and Mandarin is a must.
Nice-to-have
Knowledge in MAS/SFC/HKMA regulatory requirements.
Experience in managing multiple competing deadlines and manual processes in a fast pace environment.
A growth mindset and always strive for excellence.
Cantonese speaker.
