Job Summary

The prime objective of the Analyst is to provide day-to-day servicing and administration of an assigned group of Syndicated facilities where Royal Bank of Canada is the Agent. This includes managing loan drawings, fees, interest schedules, and the settlement of secondary assignments.

Job Description

Working Hours: 9AM-6PM

1. Process secondary assignments, and primary assignments when required, for assigned Borrowers according to established guidelines.
2. Monitor the daily Settlement Date Coordination (SDC) Report for open trades, update ticket statuses, and record current settlement status in ClearPar.
3. Review trades to verify if the Buyer is on the DQ list, is a Lender of record, or is an affiliate of a Lender of Record, and initiate the consent process if necessary.
4. Ensure Seller has sufficient inventory position or will have it by settling on the same or a prior date.
5. Review Affiliate Letters and sub-allocations to meet minimum hold/purchase requirements per the credit agreement.
6. Select a settlement date not later than T+7 on the Settlement Date Coordination Report, provided there are no delays due to borrower or issuing bank consent, KYC pending, or agent holds.
7. Coordinate the execution of the Assignment and Assumptions agreement and determine the Effective date in ClearPar.
8. Record Lenders’ positions on ACBS on the Settlement Date as trades become effective.
9. Act as verification officer for ACBS two-touch transactions created by other Analysts.
10. Post-closing, action primary assignments and ensure DQ lists are current.
11. Ensure all transactions comply with KYC, AML, OFAC, FinCen, USA Patriot Act, and other sanctions.
12. Meet or exceed service delivery standards in quality and timeliness.
13. Identify process gaps and recommend operational or reputational risk mitigation measures.
14. Evaluate new IT developments and business requirements, recommending system enhancements.
15. Contribute during system development and implementation phases for high-impact projects.
16. Oversee Secondary Syndicated Loan processes, including data/KPI analysis, liaising with external parties, and acting as an escalation point.
17. Serve as a backup for other Analysts, Syndicated Loan Trading Analysts, and Assistant Managers as needed.
18. Monitor workload allocation and assist in training new analysts, including preparing training schedules and conducting on-the-job training.
