Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia seeks an AML/CFT Analyst to assist the Line Manager in leading the team to identify, assess and mitigate ML/TF risks across the Group. You will help develop and implement AML/CFT policies and training while supporting business units.

In this role you will maintain relationships with regulators, oversee STR reporting to Bank Negara Malaysia, and drive governance improvements through analysis and project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Risk, Audit, or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of experience in banking or financial institution specializing in financial crime compliance.
• Emotionally mature with a good command of spoken/written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• AICB certificate or similar AML/CFT qualifications are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Investigate suspicious transactions and submit STRs to the regulator on time.
• Support daily BAU operations, case assignments, aging, and QA/ SLA targets.
• Analyze ML/TF risks and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide relationship exits with risk assessment recommendations.
• Promote AML/CFT governance and provide training.
• Participate in AML/CFT projects and transform workflows.
• Handle reporting and ad-hoc tasks for Head/Line Manager.
