Job summary

Great Eastern in Malaysia seeks an AML Analyst to support Customer Due Diligence activities under AML/CFT regulations. You will perform CDD, enhancements for high‑risk customers, and ensure documentation and retention of records for compliance testing.

You will review alerts, escalate issues to supervisors, and participate in system testing and policy updates. Fresh graduates welcome; strong English and analytical skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Financial/Business/Accounting studies.
• 1–2 years work experience; fresh graduates considered.
• Good analytical skills and report writing ability.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ownership, accountability and proactive attitude.
• Ability to relate information from various sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer due diligence including clearing screening matches and enhanced due diligence on high‑risk customers.
• Complete CDD tasks with proper documentation and retention.
• Ensure quality review and closure of alerts and cases; conduct peer quality checks.
• Elevate positive matches and AML/CFT issues to supervisors.
• Follow supervisor instructions and stay updated with internal policies.
• Assist in development and testing of new/enhanced AML/CFT systems.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
• Be aware of regulatory risks and mitigate them; keep up with industry trends.
