Job summary

AmBank Group is seeking a senior leader to define and drive the bank’s AI strategy and a multi-year roadmap for the Group COO division, with plans to extend into the wider organization.

You will identify AI use cases, assess readiness, and manage end-to-end delivery through vendor partnerships, while building a capable AI Strategy & Advisory team and aligning with WT29 and regulatory governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in AI/data strategy, technology consulting or digital transformation, preferably in financial services or a regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of AI/GenAI concepts (e.g. LLMs, agentic systems, RPA-AI convergence). Hands-on engineering or coding skills are not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine a multi-year AI strategy and roadmap aligned to Winning Together 2029 (WT29) and group priorities.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases across COO functions based on business value and readiness.
• Assess data infrastructure, governance, and legacy systems for AI readiness and coordinate remediation.
• Develop business cases, roadmaps, and timelines for proposed AI initiatives to senior management and the COO.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of AI projects, including vendor selection, SOW scoping, and delivery oversight.
• Coordinate with Group IT to align data access, system integration, UAT, and governance requirements for AI projects.
• Establish governance for AI project intake, prioritization, and value tracking.
• Lead and develop the AI Strategy & Advisory team to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor AI trends and regulatory developments and translate implications into the bank’s AI strategy.
• Support change management to embed AI-driven ways of working across the division.
