Puncak AI Sdn Bhd, an emerging AI company in Malaysia, seeks an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models and AI features across platforms. You will lead end-to-end projects from model development to deployment, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI/SE or related field.
• 1+ year experience as AI/ML engineer or senior software engineer with AI focus.
• Proven track record building AI solutions from scratch.
• Strong software engineering, system design, and architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
• Experience with API development and microservices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions and ML models to improve personalization, content recommendation, and user experience.
• Lead the design and implementation of AI systems and solutions from the ground up.
• Drive innovation by researching, proposing, and developing new AI-driven features and technologies.
• Implement NLP algorithms for interactive learning tools, chatbots, and intelligent tutoring systems.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering to integrate AI features into the platform effectively.
• Analyse and process large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and develop predictive models.
• Optimize AI models for scalability, performance, robustness, and security.
• Continuously explore, evaluate, and apply the latest AI trends and technologies to keep the Company at the forefront of the edtech industry.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing AI solutions while ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Document development processes, algorithms, and model performance for knowledge sharing and scalability.
• Perform any related tasks assigned by the superior to ensure smooth operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions and machine learning models to improve personalization, content recommendation, and user experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a senior software engineering role with strong AI focus.
• Proven track record in building AI solutions and software systems from scratch.
• Strong software engineering background, including experience with software development best practices, system design, and architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Deep experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning techniques.
• Experience with deploying AI solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, self-driven, and teamwork abilities.
• Experience building recommendation systems, personalization algorithms, and scalable AI solutions.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning and computer vision is an added advantage.
• Experience with API development and microservices architecture.
