Job summary

Handshakes by DC Frontiers is an award-winning DataTech company focused on turning data into actionable insights. We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our Data & AI Engineering team to build and deliver AI-powered applications that solve real-world business problems.

You will work across the AI lifecycle, from exploring approaches to deploying scalable production solutions using NLP, LLMs, Document AI, and Generative AI, with strong software, data, and cloud practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Data Science, IT or related field.
• 1–3 years of AI/ML engineering experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AI models/LLMs (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers).
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding NLP techniques and ML fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer AI prototypes and production-ready applications.
• Develop, maintain and enhance AI applications.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Manage data storage for AI apps (SQL, NoSQL, vector DBs).
• Deploy, monitor and optimize AI apps on cloud infra.
• Evaluate models with appropriate metrics.
• Build AI/data pipelines for ingestion, extraction, retrieval and generation.
• Work with structured/unstructured data for processing.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate prototypes into production.
• Participate in reviews, testing, deployment and documentation.
