About Us
At N1.Healthcare, we are transforming how individuals understand and manage their health. Our AI-powered medical reports combine the latest in artificial intelligence and data science to deliver personalized, accessible, and meaningful health insights.
We are looking for a skilled AI Engineer to join our fast-growing team and help drive the development of intelligent, healthcare-focused systems—from advanced diagnostic insights to real-time health analytics.
What You'll Do
At N1.Healthcare, we're building AI that helps people understand their health in ways that have never been possible before. This role is not just about coding models; it's about solving tough, meaningful problems that make a real difference. If you enjoy working with complex data, love building things from the ground up, and want to see your work have a real impact, this role is for you.
Here's what you'll take on:
- Work with real-world health data: Build AI models that make sense of messy, incomplete, and unstructured medical data and turn it into clear, useful insights for individuals.
- Build powerful LLM tools: Create systems that read and understand medical reports, summarize them for users, and detect key health patterns.
- Make personalization real: Use AI to deliver the right health advice to the right person at the right time—not just generic answers.
- Develop smart, automated systems: Build tools that can guide users through their health journey—from symptom checking to follow-up recommendations—with minimal human input.
- Take ideas to production: You'll do more than just research. You'll see your models go live and make an impact, using tools that help scale AI in real-world settings.
- Handle scale and speed: Design systems that work fast, reliably, and securely even with large volumes of sensitive health data.
- Explore cutting-edge AI: Use the latest in generative AI, transformers, and explainable models to create smarter, more human experiences.
- Ensure fairness and trust: We must ensure that the AI we build is clear, unbiased, and trustworthy. When it comes to health, people need to feel safe and understood.
- Take ownership: We want builders, not task-doers. You'll be trusted to lead, try new ideas, and drive things forward.
- Advanced Modeling: Develop and deploy deep learning, reinforcement learning, and graph neural networks for predictive analytics, automated strategies, and decision-making systems.
- Vector Search and Semantic Retrieval: Build systems utilizing vector databases like Weaviate, Pinecone, and Milvus to enable real-time, context-aware data retrieval.
- Agentic Systems: Design autonomous and multi-agent systems for dynamic decision-making and complex task management.
- Generative AI: Explore and integrate the latest generative AI models and techniques into our applications to further improve user experience and content generation.
- Fine-tuning: Utilise various techniques like LoRA, PEFT to fine-tune models to analyse highly complex medical data sets. Build adapter weights for models like gemma3n for use with specialised agents.
- Optimization: Use advanced hyperparameter tuning tools like Optuna and Ray Tune to maximize model performance.
- Bias Mitigation & Evaluation: Detect and reduce biases in datasets and models, and develop robust evaluation frameworks to ensure fairness, reliability, and clinical safety.
- Knowledge Augmentation & Data Standardization: Enrich LLMs with up-to-date medical research, contribute to classifying datasets, and set new standards for medical data interoperability.
- Scalability, Security & Observability: Develop AI systems that scale reliably to thousands of users, while maintaining rigorous security and observability to protect sensitive data and monitor model integrity.
