Proximity Works in Malaysia is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to advance AI-powered quality engineering. You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web apps and APIs, build scalable frameworks, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes using AI/GenAI to generate test cases and data, refining artifacts for accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve coverage and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with web and API automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Build and enhance reusable, scalable test automation frameworks.
• Execute automated functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases.
• Use AI agents and GenAI tools to generate test cases, scripts, scenarios, and data.
• Review, validate, and refine AI-generated testing artifacts to ensure accuracy, coverage, and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure complete and testable coverage.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor test results, identify quality risks, and proactively improve test coverage and engineering practices.
• Evaluate emerging automation and AI-powered testing tools and contribute to continuous improvement of quality engineering practices.
• Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing where required.
