Job summary

Ricoh Malaysia seeks an experienced AI developer to architect and deliver production-grade AI applications. You will design LLM-powered solutions, build APIs, and create scalable AI automation workflows across APAC teams.

Ideal candidates have strong Python skills, hands-on experience with LLM integrations, and a track record of delivering end-to-end AI projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years development experience with production AI apps.
• Strong Python skills; experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, and function calling.
• Experience designing AI automation workflows (n8n, Power Automate, Make, or similar).
• API development with REST (FastAPI/Flask, etc.).
• Experience with AI dev tools and guiding teammates in using them effectively.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end AI solutions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Python + LLM integration: Strong Python skills. Proven experience integrating LLMs via APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, and function calling / tool use.
• AI workflow automation: You've designed and built multi-step automated workflows incorporating AI (n8n, Power Automate, Make, or custom pipelines).
• API development: You can build REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, etc.), not just consume them.
• AI dev tools: Proficient with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar. Can guide others in using them effectively.
• Independent delivery: You can take a business problem, design an AI solution, and deliver it end-to-end with minimal supervision.

Strong Advantage

• Cloud AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AWS, or GCP AI services).
• AI agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen) or protocols (MCP, A2A).
• Vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, pgvector) for production RAG systems.
• Cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery).
• Docker and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Team leadership or mentoring experience in a professional setting.

Nice-To-Have

• ML fundamentals (model training, fine-tuning, evaluation - even if not your daily focus).
• Front-end skills (React, HTML/CSS/JS) for building AI app interfaces.
• Real-time AI: speech-to-text, translation, conversational AI systems.
• Microsoft Power Platform / Copilot Studio.
• Azure certifications or equivalent.
• APAC languages (Mandarin, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese) alongside English.
