We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Agriculture Commodities Manager to join our Commodities Team, supporting the expansion of our agriculture commodities trading business into Africa and South America.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Procurement & Quality Control
  2. Make commodity purchase decisions based on internal parameters and specifications.
  3. Supervise the quality of commodities prior to purchase.
  1. Inventory Management
  2. Maintain accurate daily records of purchased commodities and stock levels.
  3. Ensure proper storage practices to prevent spoilage, infestation, or contamination.
  1. Logistics & Operations
  2. Coordinate loading and transportation from the buying point to warehouses or ports.
  3. Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) practices for inventory management.
  1. Compliance & Reporting
  2. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal controls.
  3. Prepare and submit regular reports on purchases, stock, and quality metrics.
  1. Team Management
  2. Supervise ground staff, quality checkers, and loaders.
  3. Conduct training for field staff on SOPs, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  2. Build strong relationships with farmers, agents, and local stakeholders.
  3. Provide guidance on pricing and quality expectations.
Requirements
  • Willing to work and be stationed in Africa or South America.
  • Ability to work independently and in rural areas.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the agricultural industry, managing commodities such as cocoa, coffee, cashew, rubber, or tea.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
