Job description

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
  1. Select, train, develop, and coach team members, assess their performance, and provide recommendations on other human resource issues (e.g., promotions, transfers, salary administration, and terminations).
  2. Manage the sales and service activities of the management team to increase new business and retention across all account product offerings.
  3. Manage operations for cost efficiency; continuously evaluate opportunities to reduce costs and improve operations; monitor and maintain expenses within the approved budget.
  4. Manage the Customer Service Index program to ensure results are reported to senior management.
Business Accountabilities
  1. Manage relationships with key customers/areas of responsibility.
  2. Develop or enable the development of new and expanding business opportunities.
  3. Use network contacts with specialized expertise as needs arise.
  4. Identify opportunities and risks associated with external environment changes, looking 1-2 years ahead.
  5. Design, recommend, and implement changes to processes and systems.
  6. Develop and implement the annual budget for the area of responsibility.
  7. Set and execute operational objectives and plans aligned with the strategy of the Shared Services Unit/Strategic Business Unit.
  8. Ensure documentation, implementation, and communication of policies, procedures, and operating standards for the area of responsibility.
  9. Monitor activities to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues.
  10. Participate in or lead risk assessments and escalate issues to higher management.
Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in Sales OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 7+ years of experience in Sales
  • At least 2 years of direct sales experience
  • Experience analyzing financial statements and reports
  • Licensed to sell insurance products

Preferred:

  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, techniques, and terminology
  • Knowledge of customers' business and operations
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
