Job summary

Schmetterling Rental Sdn Bhd in Gelang Patah, Johor invites applications for a Technician / Mechanic to inspect, maintain and repair our range of aerial work platforms. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and perform on-site and workshop servicing with strict safety standards.

The role requires minimum technical education, practical hands-on skills, and the ability to travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• SPM with technical or vocational certificate; diploma preferred.
• 1+ year experience in mechanical support of lifts or related equipment.
• Valid driving license (Class D; GDL is a plus).
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus for client communications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and telehandlers.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Complete service reports and maintenance logs.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality service.
