Job summary

Adient Malaysia is seeking a manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering professional to support and develop manufacturing capacities, monitor best-practice adaptation, and drive continuous improvement.

You will provide equipment specifications aligned with Adient standards, lead lean initiatives, and participate in footprint analysis and lean manufacturing implementations to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering background required.
  • 2 years working experience in manufacturing or related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures, supports, and develops manufacturing capacities in plants, monitors and audits adaptation of manufacturing best practices and standards in the plant.
  • In charge of the quality execution of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering tasks as defined on PLUS timeline.
  • Provides specifications for manufacturing equipment in line with Adient standards and recommendations for equipment procurement.
  • Flawless launches.
  • Participates and/or leads activities for manufacturing footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing manufacturing process and lean manufacturing implementation.
  • Provides input to improve methods for optimizing work places.
  • Improves Advanced Manufacturing Engineering competitiveness and customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement activities and inspiring innovations of ingenious products, services, solutions and processes
