Job summary

Pacific & Orient Insurance Co. Berhad in Malaysia seeks an experienced actuarial professional to lead reserving, produce the Financial Condition Report, and maintain IFRS 17 roll-forward analyses.

You will conduct experience studies, support ICAAP reviews and risk management exercises, and assist with annual reinsurance renewals. The role requires 3+ years in general insurance actuarial work and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant actuarial experience in general insurance.
• Experience with IFRS 17 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual and quarterly reserving processes.
• Prepare Financial Condition Reports and support FCR analyses.
• Maintain the IFRS 17 roll-forward analysis and enhance actuarial workflows.
• Conduct experience analyses and monitoring reports.
• Provide technical support for ICAAP reviews and stress testing.
• Support annual reinsurance renewals and advise on treaty structures.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members.
