Job summary

Sinergia Talents in Malaysia is seeking an actuarial professional to lead a team delivering routine tasks and to perform more complex analyses under supervision.

You will work on local and group valuation, ICAAP, IFRS 17 reporting, risk-based capital models, and data governance while developing staff and ensuring high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Local and group valuation, Financial Condition Report, ICAAP, planning and forecasting, capital management and IFRS 17 reporting.
• Provide actuarial services with minimal supervision of a more experienced actuary to fulfill routine business requirements and to solve problems with a low to moderate level of complexity diversity.
• Perform complex statistical analyses, model, monitor and analyze data and develop models and programs for model building and analyses; interpret results of models and analyses to support business decision making.
• Participate in analyses related to activities outside of normal responsibilities. Provide professional actuarial support and advice to actuarial business partners including insights into underlying performance and implications for the business.
• Manage the flow and quality of relevant actuarial data to ensure robust output.
• Support development of risk based capital models and calibration and parameterization activities.
• Ensure that processes and standards are consistent with internal actuarial policies; lead the improvement of systems and processes in own area.
• Lead, train and develop actuarial personnel.

Job description

Leads a team to deliver routine actuarial tasks and recommendations requiring minimal direct supervision, and to perform more complex actuarial analyses under the supervision of more senior actuaries, in relation to reserving, reporting, risk management or the capital management of the business.
