Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Actuary Intern to support our actuarial team by assisting in the preparation, reconciliation, and analysis of Reserving and MFRS 17 data. This role involves working closely with the team to ensure data accuracy and support key actuarial processes.

The intern will also help with various actuarial and cross-departmental ad-hoc tasks, gaining practical experience and insight into the actuarial function.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Actuarial Science.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reconciling Reserving and MFRS 17 data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze data to identify trends or discrepancies that support actuarial evaluations.
• Support the actuarial team with routine and ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to assist with cross-functional projects.
• Maintain clear documentation of work and findings.
