Job summary

Great Eastern Life Malaysia is seeking an Associate, Actuarial (Reinsurance) to join our life insurance team. The role focuses on learning product engine and FPMS, understanding product features, and collaborating with pricing on UAT test cases.

The incumbent will assist in system testing, defect resolution with IT and pricing, and updating HPQC. Strong actuarial knowledge and good communication are essential for success, with opportunities for growth within the life insurance domain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Recognized tertiary qualification in Statistics / Maths / Actuarial Studies.
• Passed actuarial exams with major actuarial bodies (e.g., FIA/FAIA/ASA).
• Knowledge of underwriting, claims, servicing and agency administration is a plus.
• Strong communication and integrity with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Learn Product Engine and FPMS system functionalities.
• Study and understand product features and setup.
• Collaborate with Pricing to create UAT test cases.
• Assist in system testing and defect resolution with IT and pricing teams.
• Support pricing team in system testing and HPQC updates.
• Provide guidance to pricing team on testing processes.
• Monitor regulatory risk trends and share best practices.
• Take initiative to improve processes and adapt to changes.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.
