Grab is seeking a growth-focused leader based in Johor Bahru, onsite, to own regional growth initiatives and lead a cross-functional team across the Southern region. You will shape acquisition strategies, develop new channels, manage the merchant pipeline, and design incentive structures while monitoring market and competitor trends.

You will report to the OC Growth & Commercial Manager and drive budget discipline, performance reviews, and bold, data-driven decisions to accelerate regional

Qualifications

• Must be locally based in Johor Bahru.
• Bachelor's Degree (any).
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Years of experience: at least 5 years and above (Previous sales team leader experience is a necessary).
• Visionary, stay up to date with industry trends, and can respond to market changes quickly.
• A team player – you love talking to people and getting them excited.

• Acquisition Strategy: You will develop and implement tailored strategies for managing the acquisition of non-managed merchant segments in the Johor region.
• Channel development: You will explore and establish new channels to acquire and manage new merchants within the Johor region.
• Pipeline Management: You will oversee the merchant acquisition pipeline and ensure development aligns with the regional strategic goals.
• Leading: You will lead the sales team, focusing on designing incentive structures and overseeing payout processes.
• Be Ahead of the curve: You will stay informed about the industry situation along with competitor activity as part of feedback and learning.
• Budget Management: You will oversee the budget for the region, ensuring allocation and spending achieve required effectiveness and achieving regional targets.
• Reporting and Performance Management: You will organize regular check-ins and reporting for the sales performance to ensure we stay ahead of our target and having a healthy sales run rate.

• Take full ownership of identifying, refining, and implementing business growth programs, working with growth teams to improve performance, refine operations, and lead regional expansion, while using market insights and data-driven strategies to achieve sustainable and impactful growth.
